Communications networks, content and technology

EU policy encourages the digital transformation of European industry and of public services through use of innovative digital technology and support for the development of digital skills. The digital transition will impact every aspect of our economy and society. It is important to ensure that Europe fully grasps the potential of the digital age and strengthens its industry and innovation capacity.

To ensure that unnecessary costs are removed and rules are as effective and efficient as possible, since 2015 under REFIT, 9 initiatives have been adopted and 3 are pending adoption. Moreover, 12 evaluations have been finalised and 1 is ongoing.
