The present report is the third update of the analysis of the social impact of the crisis that the Social Protection Committee has undertaken, as part of its treaty mandate to closely monitor the social situation in Member States. It looks into the major trends in the social situation in Europe and the concrete policy measures Member States have put in place in the past year to tackle the difficult economic situation and its social implications.
