The European code of conduct on partnership in the framework of the European structural and investment funds
Partnership, one of the key principles of the management of European Union funds, implies close cooperation between public authorities at national regional and local levels in the Member States and with social partners, NGOs and other relevant stakeholders. Despite being an integral part of cohesion policy, feedback from stakeholders indicates that its implementation varies greatly across the EU. The European code of conduct on the partnership principle establishes a common set of standards to bring enhanced consultation, participation and dialogue with partners for programming and... implementing the European structural and investments funds (ESIF). The code of conduct intends to strengthen bonds among Member States and project partners to facilitate the sharing of information, experience, results and good practices in the new programming period.
