RegioStars awards 2015
Presentation of the finalists
RegioStars is an annual event to recognise good practice in regional development and to highlight original and inspiring projects which could prove a model for other regions. All finalists are supported by EU Funds – either the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) or the European Social Fund (ESF). The Awards have been organised by the European Commission since 2008. The award categories reflect the priorities of the Europe2020 Growth Agenda: ‘Smart Growth – SMEs in the digital economy’, ‘Sustainable Growth – energy efficiency for society’ – ‘Inclusive Growth – integrating those at risk... of social exclusion’ and ‘CityStar – transforming cities for future challenges.’ The RegioStars Jury singled out 17 finalists from 143 applicant projects on the basis of four key criteria: innovation, impact, sustainability and partnerships. The award ceremony will take place during the 2015 OPEN DAYS event, in Brussels, on 13 October 2015.
