The seventh conference on image information mining
Geospatial intelligence from earth observation
The Image Information Mining 2011 conference is the seventh in the series jointly organised by ESA and EUSC, and by JRC since 2009. It takes place for the first time in the JRC premises, Ispra site (Italy) from the 30th of March to the 1st of April 2011. Similarly to the previous Image Information Mining conferences, this year's conference focuses on automation in support of applications and services for geospatial intelligence, for which Image Information Mining is considered of very high interest and appropriate. This theme proves most successful when cross-cued from other intelligence... disciplines, therefore the conference topics are broadened towards more generic Information Mining. In addition, because the future will be marked by an increase of satellite imaging missions, the conference is expected to bring new stimulating ideas, concepts or methods also for the use of multi-temporal images. The conference proceedings include all contributions that have been accepted for oral and poster presentations.
