DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE
No 4/2007
of 27 April 2007
amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) and Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 142/2006 of 8 December 2006 (1). |
(2) |
Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 147/2006 of 8 December 2006 (2). |
(3) |
Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 February 2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin and amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement, |
(4) |
Commission Regulation (EC) No 178/2006 of 1 February 2006 amending Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council to establish Annex I listing the food and feed products to which maximum levels for pesticide residues apply (4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. |
HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1
Annexes I and II to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

the following point shall be inserted after point 39 (Commission Regulation (EC) No 316/2003) of Chapter II of Annex I to the Agreement:

the following point shall be inserted after point 54zzx (Commission Regulation (EC) No 627/2006) of Chapter XII of Annex II to the Agreement:

the following indent shall be inserted in point 12a (Council Directive 91/414/EEC) of Chapter XV of Annex II to the Agreement:

Article 2
The texts of Regulations (EC) No 396/2005 and (EC) No 178/2006 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 28 April 2007, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (5).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
